Artist's Description
An infrared capture of this tool shed along a North Carolina back road is somewhat surreal and creating the feel of an oil painting seemed to be a slightly different way to tell the story. So many sheds, barns and old homes are collapsing or being bulldozed so I like to "save" as many of them via photographs as possible. A simpler time.
About Stephanie Petter Garrett
Immersing myself in nature, spending time on and around the water, and traveling as many back roads as possible have long been things that fill my soul with joy and peace. I like the challenge of capturing the emotion of a moment or feel of an area and providing alternative ways of seeing things, whether it be through an infrared camera or creating a different mood or vision through artistic modification.
