Artist's Description
The “heydays” of making a good living fishing are mostly gone for the small fisherman. This boat shed on the way to Oriental, North Carolina struck me as a reflection of those days, and made me feel just a little bit sad. It was dusk when I took this photograph and the colors were muted. I was pleased with the composition and after applying some adjustments and artistic filters, this “painting” emerged.

I like the challenge of capturing the emotion of a moment or feel of an area and providing alternative ways of seeing things, whether it be through an infrared camera or creating a different mood or vision through artistic modification.
